Came here on a holiday non-peak hour around 4pm and there was no wait. This is a classic Korean spot, good for families or casual get togethers. We ordered the marinated beef short ribs and the non marinated marbled brisket to grill ourselves. The marinated short ribs were so delicious and flavorful. Really good quality meat and super tasty wrapped in lettuce with ssamjang. The portion size for the brisket was huge and also very yummy, although it would've been great if there were a sauce to dip the brisket in. We also ordered the spicy cold noodle with cucumber, egg, and beef. This was nice and refreshing for the hot summer day. I love the variety and extensive amount of side dishes this restaurant provides, along with your choice of a steamed egg or soup. All of these sides really make for a comforting hearty meal. The food is a bit on the pricier side but the quality and portion sizes are great. Would come back!

This place is insane! Reasonably priced for a ton of food and tasty. Some of the best bulgogi I have had. All the sides that came with it were super fresh. The kimchi bimibap was perfectly spicy and delicious. Service was fast and attentive. Would definitely come back!

I love coming here for their lunch specials (Fridays are included!). It is a good deal and they give so much yummy banchan. We ordered the lunch specials of beef bulgogi and marinated chicken. These dishes are consistently good and large portions. The order came with tofu stew which was very flavorful too. You have to check this place out for delicious Korean food!

We love this place! The marinade meat is always on point. I wish they changed out the banchan sometimes, but they still give a decent variety and I can't complain! Lunch is a great option if you're ever in the area.

pretty packed on a Friday night but the servers do go by quickly and lots of banchan. meat and steamed eggs were good. wish the tofu soup had a little bit more flavor/spice for my liking but overall good and would like to try the kbbq portion!

Lucky for us, we were able to find street parking and there was no wait when we arrived. We were given a variety of banchans to start off. My favorite as always were the fish cakes, but the radish was good too. There was also complimentary steamed eggs. Service was average. When we asked for soup bowls, the lady didn't say anything and just walked away. She did bring them though. It didn't bother me too much as we got what we needed. We didn't do Korean BBQ, but ordered a variety of other dishes. The gal-bi-jjim short ribs were flavorful and I liked the addition of rice cakes. The potatoes and carrots could've used more time. The kkori-gomtang (ox tail soup) came with glass noodles. It also comes with salt for you to add. I didn't try the oxtail because there was too much other food. The seafood and scallion pancake was my favorite- thick and crispy! The octopus with vegetables was delicious. Overall, it was a fulfilling meal.

It was a nice day in SF so we spent the day at Golden Gate Park and couldn't decide on a place for dinner. Per approval of our Korean friend we chose Han Il Kwan. We were told the wait would be 40 minutes for our party of 6 on a Saturday night, but it actually took about hour and a half. We got the short ribs, brisket, spicy pork, fried pollack, and beef soup. Everything was served pretty quickly as we ordered immediately after sitting down. The short ribs were nothing special. The miso paste was a bit too salty, and the sauce for the brisket was mostly just oil. The spicy pork was marinated the best, and super tender. I wouldn't say this place is worth the wait, but it's pretty good!
